About DK Equestrian, LLC
DK Equestrian's instruction program is geared to provide a thorough and understandable foundation to enable the horse and rider to perform at their very best. DK Equestrian believes in both the advancement of the horse and the rider, and offers services including schooling of the horse, and instructing of the rider. Emphasis is placed on both horse and rider confidence, and skill to create a lasting partnership. Whether the rider's goal is to competed at the national level, or just have a harmonious partnership with their horse at home.

DK Equestrian believes that excellence in the equine athlete begins not only at home with training, but also with the proper care and day-to-day happiness and health. DK Equestrian provides stabling at a small private facility in Bluemont, VA with a staff of experienced equine professionals and trainers.
Additionally, DK Equestrian provides quality instruction with its association with Fox Ridge Stable in Middleburg, VA. Fox Ridge offers a full-scale professional facility for all your training needs.
Dmitriy Kokoshkin
Dmitriy Kokoshkin grew up training in showjumping. Bitza Olympic Center in Moscow, Russia. Throughout that time Dmitriy had the opportunity and privilege to ride under several top international trainers. As a junior he was trained by Olympian Fedor Metelkov who assisted him to become one of the top junior riders throughout Russia. At the age of 18 he was invited to join the Russian National Military Equestrian Team where he trained under Genadiy Drobyshev. During that time Dmitriy won the Russian national title twice. Following that experience Dmitriy has competed successfully at the Grand Prix level throughout Russia.

In 1999 Dmitriy was invited to Texas by a Russian client to train rare Akhal-Teke horses. After doing so successfully for several years Dmitiry was invited in to take up the Head Trainer position at Pine Meadow Farm in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Throughout his time at Pine Meadow, Dmitry taught lessons, trained at horse shows including AA through Local and/or C rating, breeding performance horses, teaching clinics, handling sales, importing horses, designing courses, and managing local level horse shows. During that time, in 2009 Dmitriy became a naturalized US citizen. In 2016 Dmitriy moved to Virginia’s hunt country to become the Assistant Trainer at Bel Mont Farm in Waterford, VA. In 2018 Dmitriy created DK Equestrian, LLC.

Now in residence in northern Virginia, Dmitriy is concentrating on creating his own full-scale training business. His daily focus includes working with riders and horses of all skill levels including beginners all the way up to Grand Prix. Dmitriy trains riders and horses out of his own property in Bluemont, VA; as well as Fox Ridge Stables in Middleburg, VA.
Currently Dmitriy is focused on expanding his new client base to include new clients and shows from Local up to AA level.
